David Joseph Perez, 53, of Torrington, CT, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017.
David was born September 14, 1964, in Torrington, CT, the son of Archie Perez of Torrington and of the late Shirley (Helbourg) Perez. He was employed by Toll Gate Inn as a Front Desk Concierge. An avid model ship builder, he also enjoyed water sports, especially kayaking and he was a gifted artist, creating many paintings. Although thoroughbred horses were his passion, he loved his devoted feline companion, Scooter.
In addition to his father, he is survived by two sisters, Candy Perez (Nora Mocarski) of Winsted, CT and Sheree Cross (Dave Cross) of Highland, NY, along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington on Thursday, November 2, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to be held at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be private.
