David Paniati

David T. Paniati, 60, of Torrington, CT, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was happily married to the love of his life, Brenda (McGowan) Paniati, for 35 years, and the proud father of three sons.

David was born on May 27, 1966, the son of the late Ronald and Mary (Nowacki) Paniati. He was raised as the youngest of four boys in Torrington, CT, where he then went on to raise a family of his own. He was a loyal and dedicated employee of MacDermid Enthone since 1989, where he worked as a Sales Manager.

David, more affectionately known as Dave, was well known throughout his community as a youth coach, having coached all three of his boys and many of their friends in various sports. He enjoyed golfing, playing pickleball, and taking trips to Myrtle Beach with his beloved wife and best friend, Brenda. He loved taking long walks around the neighborhood with his four-legged friend, Mia, where they became familiar and friendly faces to their neighbors. Dave was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. He appreciated a day relaxing at home in front of the TV, snacking on cheese and Almond Joys. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family. Whether it was Sunday meals at home, days at the beach, or family vacations, Dave always made his family his greatest priority.

In addition to his wife Brenda, he is survived by three sons, Zachary Paniati and his wife Lauren of New York, NY, Nicholas Paniati and his partner Ali Bottari of Orlando, FL, Michael Paniati and his partner Nadine Noujaim of Torrington, CT; two brothers, Jeffrey Paniati and his wife Kim of Silver Springs, MD, James Paniati and his wife Lorie of New Hartford, CT; a sister-in-law Louise Paniati of Prospect, CT; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Paniati.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT to St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish), 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the Paniati family asks that donations be made in Dave’s honor to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Greenwood Counseling & Referrals in Litchfield, CT, or the Capital Campaign for St. John Paul the Great Parish.
