Dante A. Vanotti

Dante A. Vanotti age 101 passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 25, 2018 at Valerie Manor. He was the husband of the late Genevieve (Rogozinski) Vanotti who passed in 1977.

Dante was born in Harwinton, CT on June 30, 1917. Son of the late Joseph Vanotti and Angelina Vanotti-Bordaglio.  He was raised in Lee and Lake Congamond MA. Dante served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed in Northern France and Central Europe.  He retired from Plume and Atwood in Thomaston, CT after 31 years of service.

He leaves behind his daughter Sharon Bishop of Torrington, two grandchildren Lynette Fenn of Winchester, CT and Mark Bishop Jr.,along with his wife Janet Bishop of Plainville, CT.  Four great grandchildren Hannah Fenn, Hayley, Jordan, and Gabriella Bishop. Also, a special nephew Dr. Len Pietrafesa of Charlotte and Ocean Isle, NC, and other nieces and nephews.  Dante was predeceased by his brother Joseph Vanotti and his loving sister Dora Pietrafesa.

He was an avid NY Yankee and Dallas Cowboy fan.  He loved to cook and do yard work.

All services will be private, Cook's Funeral Home of Torrington is assisting the family.
