Colleen Jones

Colleen (McGinn) Jones, born on February 21, 1937, in Bristol, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, at Litchfield Woods in Torrington, Connecticut. She was employed by I.M.O. Industries, where she worked in the assembly department for many years until her retirement.

She found immense joy in gardening, nurturing her plants and creating beautiful floral arrangements that brightened the lives of those around her. Colleen also had a talent for ceramics, and she enjoyed playing Bingo.

Colleen is lovingly remembered by her family, including her son, Scott Jones and his wife Carol, residing in Redding, Pennsylvania, her daughters, Star Schrager and her husband Robin in Torrington, Connecticut, and Jem Fields in Arizona. In addition to her immediate family, Colleen is survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren who held a special place in her heart, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jones, Sr., her parents Edward McGinn and Mary (Basser) McGinn, her son William Jones, Jr., along with two brothers and one sister. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
