Anthony S. Scifo

Anthony S. Scifo, 97, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband to Elaine (Cristaldi) Scifo for 70 years.

Tony was born May 7, 1924, in Winsted, CT, the son of the late Paulo and Carmela (Italia) Scifo.  He honorably served his country with the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II stationed in the Western Pacific and the Philippines.

He enjoyed playing golf and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Elaine, he is survived by one son, Daniel Scifo; two daughters, Karen Lopez and her husband Fernando and Paula Scifo all of Torrington, CT; four grandchildren, three great granddaughters as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Michelina Rougeot.

Private funeral services have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.  There are no calling hours.
