Anthony A. Languell, 78, of Carolina Shores, NC, formerly of Torrington, CT, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Apple Rehab, Watertown, CT, reuniting with his wife of over 51 years Kathryn (Kissh) Languell.

Anthony was born April 3, 1947, in Bethesda, MD, the son of the late Iassic and Helen (Zabolusky) Languell. He was employed by the City of Torrington Police Department, retiring in 1997, at the rank of Seargent after a 25-year career.

He is survived by two daughters, Marta Languell of Torrington, CT and Margret Warner of Watertown, CT; four brothers, Dennis Languell (Carol) of Chandler, Arizona, John Languell (Sarah) of Hertford, North Carolina, Dean Languell (Susan) of Millville, New Jersey, Joseph Languell (Margaret) of Torrington, CT; one grandson, Andrew Languell, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was a loving husband and best friend to his wife Kathy, supportive father to his two daughters and proud grandfather to Andrew. He will be greatly missed but leaves us with many cherished and lasting memories.

The Divine Liturgy of Resurrection will be celebrated Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Maron’s Church 613 Main Street, Torrington, CT.  Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at St. Maron's Church.  There are no calling hours. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Carolina Border Shields, PO Box 945 Little River, SC 29566 or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
