Annette “Mickey” (Mikutel) Tartaglino, 96, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019, with her daughter by her side. She was the wife of the late Frank Tartaglino and was predeceased by her siblings John, William, Jeannie and Fay.
Mickey was born May 10, 1923, in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late John and Anna (Awdziewicz) Mikutel.
Mickey was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother first and foremost. She especially loved her role as Nana. Mickey had a fun-loving personality and always made people around her smile. She made friends everywhere!
She is survived by two children, Antonia “Toni” Tavano, and her husband Frank of New Hartford, CT, one son, Frank Tartaglino of Torrington, CT; two grandchildren, Nicole Tavano of Torrington (her devoted care giver), John Tavano, his wife Ashley, their children Parker and Peyton, of New Hartford and several nieces and nephews. Mickey also leaves behind her faithful companion Lucky who was always by her side.
Mickey’s family was very blessed to have been loved by her unconditionally. She was the best mother and nana anyone could wish for. Nana will never be forgotten.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Church, (St. John Paul the Great Parish), 99 East Main St., Torrington. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to the time of the Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Church.
